GIVING HOPE TO KIDS WITH BRAIN TUMORS

THE NONPROFIT
Brain tumors are the most common tumors found in children.. and the most fatal. That’s why families impacted by pediatric brain tumors have come together to fund life-saving research at the Children’s Brain Tumor Project, Weill Cornell Medicine. We created this nonprofit organization with the shared mission to fundraise for the Children’s Brain Tumor Project lab while maintaining control of the strict stewardship of those funds to solely support the research of Dr. Mark Souweidane and Dr. Jeffrey Greenfield at Weill Cornell Medicine.
THE RESEARCH LAB
The Children’s Brain Tumor Project is a research initiative at the Weill Cornell Medical Center, co-directed by Dr. Mark Souweidane and Dr. Jeffrey Greenfield. The Children’s Brain Tumor Project has a single goal: to bring hope to the hundreds of patients and families each year who confront the heartbreaking diagnoses of rare and inoperable pediatric brain tumors. We focus on studying these tumor types because rare and inoperable tumors are most often neglected in the research landscape due to the lack of funding and support that scientists need to find cures.
MEET OUR FAMILIES
The Children’s Brain Tumor Project Foundation is led by a group of families who have been united by the tragic diagnosis of a rare brain tumor, who all have incredible passion and belief in the importance of research being done, and great faith in the work underway at the Children’s Brain Tumor Project lab, Weill Cornell Medicine.
