JULIE BALAY, MS, RD, CSSD

Registered Dietitian | Board-Certified Sports Dietitian
Ironman 70.3 Age-Group Champion | 4x Ironman Finisher
Julie Balay is a Registered Dietitian and Board-Certified Sports Dietitian. She is a competitive athlete, having completed four Ironmans and taken first place in her age group. She has led the Athletic Committee at the Children’s Brain Tumor Project (CBTP) Foundation since 2021, serving in a dual role as trainer and dietitian for all athletes running with Team CBTP. Her detailed training protocols and nutritional guidelines have helped our athletes cross the finish line strong, and she is available for one-on-one consults at any time.
“I specialize in performance nutrition for endurance athletes — helping runners and triathletes fuel with intention, train with strength, and compete at their highest level. Strategy matters. So does resilience. I bring both to every athlete I coach,” said Julie.
For Julie, the work is more than professional — it’s personal. She lost her son, Chase, to an incurable brain tumor. In his honor, she proudly shares her expertise to support the Children’s Brain Tumor Project Foundation.
Through science, endurance, and purpose, every mile becomes momentum for research.
